Holy Communion

Let's study the subject of the Holy Communion together. As we do, you will see that the Holy Communion was meant to be a total blessing to every believer, every time we go to the Communion table to partake. The truth that God has shown me concerning us partaking of the wine and bread can absolutely, no doubt, transform your life as it has mine; Praise God! I want to bring you into a new understanding of Holy Communion. This is a wonderful truth, freedom, and experience that God wants every believer in the Body of Christ to have. The subject of Holy Communion is so important to God, and we need to make it important to us also.

Besides being redeemed from hell and eternal destruction, divine healing is the greatest blessing anyone could have while on this earth. Without health in our lives it becomes impossible to enjoy the blessings of God. Act 10:38 says Jesus went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil for God was with Him. Most of Jesus' miracles were in the area of healing while on the earth, and according to this scripture it was Jesus' nature to heal. Jesus didn't walk on water all the time, He didn't calm storms all the time, but He did heal all the time, Hallelujah!

Psalms 105:37 says, He also brought them out with silver and gold and there was none feeble among His tribes. The bible scholars of this day say there were about 2.5 million Israelites that God brought out of Egypt into the promise land - and none were feeble. God made sure that none of them were sick, or weak, giving them strength to make the trip. How did God do this? He used the Passover meals of communion (a super natural way) to give them divine health for there bodies. This was and still is God's will for His people today. The Holy Communion, the partaking of wine and bread, was used for healing provision for the Israelites, and is God's provision for healing, and wholeness for His people today.

1st Corinthians 11:27-30 says, therefore whoever eats this bread and drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep. I want to reveal to you the truth of what the words, "unworthy manner", "examine himself", and "judgment" really are saying in this scripture.

Notice also this scripture is saying, for this reason many are weak and sick among you, and may sleep, (pre-mature deaths). Notice what this scripture is saying; only one reason that we are weak, sick and many die a premature death. It's not discerning the Lord's body when we come to the table. I can understand the world being sick, weak, and feeble, because they don't have Jesus in there hearts. But we must question, why the Saints of God are struggling with sickness, diseases, and even pre-mature deaths. This was never God's plan for us. As we study this scripture out we will see why this is happening in the body of Christ today.

Let's discuss verse 27 --- what it means to eat this bread and drink this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner. Unworthy means-to treat it as a common meal, or common thing, and not observing their solemn symbolic import. Taking it in an unworthy manner- it's talking about how we are discerning of His body. Many do not know why they are partaking of the wine and bread at the Lord's Table. How sad that large amounts of believers don't believe that healing is part of the atonement of Jesus Christ today. This scripture is not saying; if we are unworthy don't partake. The truth is - all of us who come to the Lord's Table are unworthy and made worthy only by His blood. Notice it is saying make sure you know why you are partaking of the wine and bread. It describes the action of eating and drinking; NOT talking about the person who is eating and drinking, will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

Let's discuss verse: 28 --- the part in this scripture that says, let a man examine himself. What does this mean? Let's read... 2nd Corinthians 13:5 says; examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves; do you know yourselves that Jesus Christ is in you? This is saying, examine yourselves, and know that Christ is in you. The truth is, He sees you righteous, and because of what Jesus did, makes us worthy to come and partake of the Communion Table every time. It is not saying, to examine ourselves, because there is sin in our life, and we need to clean up first before we can come to the Communion table. It's saying make sure you understand who you are in Christ, understanding what He did for you, putting our faith in His Son's work.

Let's discuss verse 29 --- who eat and drink in an unworthy manner, eat and drinks judgment to himself. This is not talking about God's anger or wrath or to send you to hell. The truth is --- Adam and Eve sinned against God; a divine sentence fell on the human race. The judgment in this scripture is talking about weakness, sickness, and death, the effect of the divine sentence. It is saying, if we don't discern the Lord's body, that weakness, sickness, the divine sentence that was brought forth by Adam and Eve's sin will continue to reign in our bodies.

The body(bread) and blood(wine) should not be treated as one. They are two separate elements with two separate applications. 1st Corinthians 11:25 - the cup is the new covenant in My blood, representing the forgiveness of all sins. It's so important! to discern (understand) that new covenant and His blood shed for all our sins, as believers. READ: Colossians 1:14 & Ephesians 1:7 for more confirmation about what He did for us, by the shedding of His blood. 1st Corinthians 11:24 - "Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you. It's so important! to discern (understand) the breaking of the bread. When we are breaking the bread, we need to see His body broken for us. We need to see all our sickness, disease and weaknesses on Jesus' body. When realizing and discerning these things, and the power behind the breaking of the bread, especially! Then we can walk in divine health all the time. It's putting our faith in His redemptive work. Mark 5:25-34 talks about the women with the issue of blood. She said, "If I could only touch the hem of His garment, I will be made whole." If the hem of His garment, which was soaked with His health, made her whole, can you imagine the POWER partaking the bread? What an awesome thought!

The "legalistic, damaging teaching that it is about our sins" is keeping God's people from receiving healing in their bodies. This really grieves God! The truth is: It's about what Jesus has done for us, realizing that all our sins are forgiven, and all our sickness were put on Him. Saints! Once you are born again, John 4:24 says "For God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." He only sees you in the spirit, that's where he relates to you, all the time. He sees you perfect, holy, and blameless. He see you just like He is. THIS IS GOOD NEWS! THIS IS THE TRUE GOSPEL! By not coming to the table we are robbing ourselves of God's source of health, healing and blessings for us.

The truth is, God has ordained the Holy Communion as a key channel of health and wholeness for His people. God wants to restore the true meaning and power of the Holy Communion to the church. The Holy Communion will add years to our life and life to our years! Every time you partake, you are reversing the effects of that divine judgment (sickness) in your body.

Adam merely ate a fruit and he plunged the whole human race into sin, brought disease and ultimately death. So God in His mercy and wisdom devised a perfect solution. Since the simple act of eating by Adam brought disease and death, God ordained that the simple act of partaking of bread would bring health and wholeness to His people. Such GOOD NEWS!

So come to the Holy Communion table freely and receive!
