Charis Bible College Colorado Testimonies
When the call of God first came to me in the summer of 2003 to attend Bible School, I knew that Charis Bible College was the right place for me to attend. I realized that Andrew Wommack’s teachings were what I needed to leave behind the old ways of relating to God - based on works, religion and traditions of men. I chose to embark on an adventure that changed my entire life and the direction I was headed in.
The message of God’s abundant grace and His gift of righteousness have set me free from trying to win God’s favor and approval through my good works. Now I bask in His love and complete acceptance, living with more liberty and joy that I ever though was possible. Learning about God’s grace and unconditional love was the best investment I ever made. I have embarked on a supernatural journey that will change generations. Praise God, I will never be the same!
– Tim, Maine, class of 2005
I am 60+ years old and people were saying, “Why are you doing to Bible School at your age?” But I knew that I knew that I was supposed to go. I really found out why when God spoke to me on my mission trip to Russia. He changed my cold heart and gave me a new warm heart for the lost. CBC truly is a life changing experience.
– Judith, Colorado, class of 2006
Going to CBC shed a new light and meaning on God's word for me. That new understanding of God's word changed my life. I served in the military during the “Cold War”. During my mission trip to Russia God showed me that the people I thought were my enemies were God’s people too and He loved them too. Thank God for CBC it really changed me.
– Herbert, Colorado, class of 2006
I underwent such transformation during my two years of school, but even more since graduating. I understand more deeply how wide, and deep, and high, and long His love and passion is for me. I have a greater confidence than I’ve ever known in my life, because I believe Him when He says that He has made me accepted in the Beloved. No longer striving to be accepted based on my miserable merits, but resting in His acceptance of Jesus’ perfect sacrifice.
– Penny, Colorado, class of 2002
I have been saved almost 25 years, and to be honest, the first 19 years were spent going around mountains, trying to find out who God was and thought “could I ever get near Him”, or “how would He ever accept me” with my imperfectness. I spent those years working; doing what ever was possible to get God and people to accept me. The more I tried, the more I failed. I felt nothing but sadness, frustration, unfulfilled, anger, and shame, through most of my Christian walk.
I cried out to God, asking Him to please show me who He was. Also if the people who I was in fellowship with were really representing the true God? Praise God He started speaking to my heart, telling me that I had my eyes on people, instead of Him. That only He could fill me with peace and joy. I said, “God how will I find out the total truth? - there is nobody here that I trust. He said, “I am going to take you to a new land, and I will show you, not only who I am, but who you are in me.
That was when God lead me to go to Charis Bible College. The two year program was, to say the least, life changing. I didn’t want to leave my husband behind while I was attending bible school, so he went to his boss and told his boss that I was feeling the leading to leave Massachusetts to attend bible school in Colorado Springs. He ask his boss if it would be possible to go down there to get me settled, and that he would travel back and forth.
He boss looked at him and said, Bob you need to be with your wife, and we don’t want to lose you here. So you go down with her and work from there, and if nothing goes wrong you can stay down there until she graduates. It was God! Bob never had to return to his company up here, until I graduated. So we shut our home down and left it. We had no idea what a change this would make in both of our lives and our relationship with God. But what an excitement we both had in our hearts, driving out there to embark on this new adventure.
One of the biggest things, God showed me a love that is so tangible, that no one could ever take it or convinces me that He doesn’t love me, ever again! What freedom to know that God sees us in the Spirit, and is not looking at our mistakes, but our hearts. It’s not acceptance in man, but God. We don’t have to work to be accepted, we are already accepted, once we receive Jesus Christ, and what He has accomplished for us. Salvation is all about what He has done, not us. I found even more freedom when I saw the truth abut God‘s true nature and character. He loves us, not because we are lovely, but because He is love. This freedom came when I obeyed God and went to Charis Bible College, where I learned about grace, and freedom in Him.
Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired? Are you thinking people can give you what you need in your Christian walk? I can tell you because, I have been there, that only God, can do that for you. Only God can put you in the right places, right times, to fulfill the call God has on your life. Only God gets the glory for what has happened in my life!
My husband and I are back in central Massachusetts, preaching this freedom to all! I could not be ministering as I am today, without the training and revelation that was learned while attending Charis Bible College. We are ministering a “breath of fresh air” to New England! It’s called the grace and unconditional love of God!
Romans 2:4 say, “Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance and longsuffering, not knowing the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
It's God's goodness, not works that leads us to want to serve Him.
